The creation of an ACSM & AAU Sports Medicine Registry (SMR) is the first of several goals within the partnership. SMR is a web-based referral network of sports medicine professionals at the AAU District level who can be contacted by individuals and groups to explore availability of clinical/sideline services on a fee and/or no fee basis.

SMR allows sports medicine professionals to self register and AAU coaches, event organizers, teams, parents, organizations, and groups to locate the registered participants by state.

ACSM's powerful network adds to AAU's leadership in youth sports, and enriches the AAU youth sports experience for everyone. AAU benefits because ACSM provides a new dimension of sports medicine and sports science expertise, resources, and knowledge through the partnership.

ACSM and AAU's objective is to populate SMR with sports medicine professionals to its fullest potential prior to marketing this resource to AAU constituents beginning September 1, 2007. Please consider joining this partnership effort!
