ACSM Research Awards
|
Each year ACSM awards individuals who have excelled in
health-related research.
Deadline for all applications was March 3, 2008. All applications
must be submitted electronically.
The New Investigator Awards
The New Investigator Awards are intended to recognize
new investigators who, as a consequence of their educational
background/training and quality of initial independent research
productivity, have begun and are likely to continue to make a
significant contribution to knowledge in basic or clinical exercise
science or sports medicine.
Charles M. Tipton National Student Research
Award
*NEW for 2008: In addition to currently
enrolled students, we will now allow students who have already graduated
from school within one year prior to this award's application deadline
of 3/3/08 to apply.
This award will be presented to the student with the most outstanding
research project of the year. An important consideration for the award
is the extent of the student's participation in the
project.
Visiting Scholar Award
The Visiting Scholar Award is given to investigators who need further
experience as independent researchers. The purpose of the award is to
provide financial support for an investigator to visit a clinic or
laboratory of his/her choice to learn new and current techniques in
exercise and sports medicine. MARC Program Travel Awards
Congratulations to the 2008 recipients of the ACSM Research Awards!
