Does ACSM provide list
rental?
ACSM's list rental is
managed through MGI Lists. Rhoda Espiritu is our sales
representative. Candy can be reached at 800-899-4420 or via e-mail
at cbrecht@mgilists.com. She can provide list rental agreements and
pricing.
I am a current
member and need to renew my dues?
To renew your dues, simply click the 'My
ACSM' link located at the top of this page. Login to your
account. Once logged in, scroll down to "My Reminders &
Alerts," then click on "Pay Your Member Dues." Be sure to complete
all screens of your renewal, including your credit card
information. Once you hit the submit button, your credit card
will be charged and your member benefits will be reactivated within
2 business days.
Does
ACSM offer discount insurance?
Discount
insurance is available to current ACSM Members and ACSM Certified
Professionals. Forrest T Jones, Inc. is the insurance company that
represents ACSM. They do not share rate information with
ACSM. Thus, you will need to contact them directly.
When calling, please identify yourself as an ACSM Member or an ACSM
Certified Professional (whichever is applicable.) You may reach
Forrest T Jones at 1-866-820-5183.
How do
I access my online membership benefits?
If your membership is current, you can access your online
benefit through the "My ACSM" section of the website.
Once you login, click on the benefit you wish to access (publication,
directory, etc.) listed on your profile page.
How do I access electronic
publications?
Click the 'My ACSM' link
located at the top of this page. Once you have logged into your
account, click the journal link. This will connect you to the electronic
journal on the publisher's site. From here, click either 'Current Issue'
or 'Archive' to access articles. (Do not attempt to Activate or Log In
to an account on the publisher's site.) If you get
an error message when trying to open an article, the publisher, LWW, has
informed us that this is a result of firewalls or high security settings
on the users computer or server that prevents access. If you remove your
firewalls or reduce your security settings, you should be able to
immediately access. If you chose not to do this, you will need to use
the follow process to go around your computer settings -
-Click on the publication link, and choose
the 'Login' button at the top of the page on the publication site.
-Use 'acsmreferrer' as your user name
-Use 'Password' for the password (The P must be uppercase, it is case
sensitive)
How do I change my
password?
Passwords can be changed by selecting ‘Forgot your password’
below the login area. NOTE: Passwords can only be reset if
you are entering the same email address currently listed under your
record. If your email has changed, you will need to
contact the Membership & Chapter Services Department by
e-mail or at 317-637-9200 to update this information in order
to reset your password.
How do I change my address/contact
information?
Updates on address and contact information can be made by accessing the
"My ACSM" portion fo the web site. Click the "Edit Your Full
Profile" link on this page.
How do I access my ACSM ID
number?
To receive your ACSM ID number, contact the Membership &
Chapter Services Department. Note: ID
numbers are assigned during signing up online and other ACSM activity
(meetings, certifications, memberships, etc.). This ID does not
confirm membership. If you become an ACSM Member, we will provide
an ID card to you upon renewing or joining the membership. Once
your membership is received and processed, please allow up to 4 weeks
for delivery of your ID card. Please refer to your ID number
regarding any activity within ACSM.
When can I expect to receive my
membership information/materials?
You should begin receiving membership materials within 4 weeks
of your membership being received and processed. If back issues
are offered under your membership category, delivery of these
publications can take up to 10 weeks.
Why did I receive a letter that my
membership was not active when I'm a current Member?
ACSM has hired a marketing company to help build our membership.
It is possible that you received this notification in error due to the
multiple mailing lists from which the marketing company solicits.
If you are unsure of your current membership status, please login
through the ACSM website to check your history, or contact the Membership &
Chapter Services Department.
Does ACSM Certification include
ACSM Membership?
No. Certification and membership are separate within ACSM.
However, if you join as a member prior to applying for
certification, you are eligible to receive a discount on your
certification exam.
How can I get a membership
receipt?
For Member convenience, you can print off your receipt of payment
through your "My ACSM" online account. After logging in, click
the "View Dues History" and print your receipt.
I think I made a duplicate
membership payment. Will you refund my credit card?
ACSM will credit your card if refund is issued in the same month as the
charge. Otherwise, a refund will be provided by mailing you a
check
I'm not sure what type of
membership I should appy for, any advice?
To choose the membership category that you qualify for and that
best meets your interest, please view qualifications under ‘Member
Services’ by clicking the ‘Qualifications & Fess’
option. Note: Please be aware, depending on the
category you select that some memberships run by calendar year and some
run by anniversary year.
