American College of Sports Medicine Foundation
 Research Grant Program

Support for basic, applied, clinical, and behavioral research is a priority of the  American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Foundation. This page outlines grant opportunities and is revised as new opportunities arise. Additionally, all new programs are announced in official ACSM publications (Sports Medicine Bulletin and Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise).

Applicants for student research grants must have graduate student status during the term of the grant to be considered for funding. Applicants must be current members of ACSM at the time of submitting an application to be funded. Grants are open to all ACSM members, including international members. However, the NASA initiative is open to U.S. residents only.

The deadline for the 2010 grant application was January 22, 2010.

The following links provide more information about the grant program:

You may contact the Research Administration and Programs Department at Tel: (317) 637-9200, ext. 143 or e-mail questions to jsenior@acsm.org or mdell@acsm.org.
