Past ACSM Roundtables
There have been fourteen
official ACSM Roundtables held since the first in 1992. The
purpose of the roundtables are to, among other things,
raise public awareness of critical issues in
health and science and to increase visibility of ACSM as a leading
organization in the areas of sports medicine and exercise
science. Currently there are several
roundtables in the research and development pipeline. These topics
include supplements, exercise recommendations for cancer patients,
weight management behaviors issues, youth health and activity related to
physical education and pediatric and chronic disease.
