2.  What is ACSM’s greatest strength and how would you make that aspect of the organization even stronger?

ACSM’s greatest strength is in advancing health through science, education and medicine. It renders its support to its community and academia by continuous and dedicated work towards the advancement of exercise sciences and sports medicine, providing extensive up to date resource materials and allowing its members to excel in improving the field of science and medicine for better healthy communities.

In the course of my life I have been dedicated to my vision of using my passion to help and aid my community and that is to use physical activity and exercise as means of rehabilitation and chronic disease prevention. I will work even more passionately towards advancing these goals further not only in the Middle East region but in the world at large wherever possible.

As an influential organization, ACSM is a strong lobbying organization at local US government agencies and Congress and at international levels.  As an example, ACSM was strongly present at the world level such as the United Nations (UN) to include physical activity in the UN prevention document for noncommunicable diseases (NCD) at the high level meeting in 2011. ACSM has strong history in setting the guidelines for healthy practice of exercise as a prevention tool for NCD’s and as a managing tool for the treatment and the rehabilitation of NCD’s.
