Student Quiz Bowl Registration is Open

Aug 21, 2019
The Student Quiz Bowl will be held on the evening of October 24 at the Central States Annual Meeting in Tulsa, OK. Each school is only allowed up to 2 teams comprised of 3 undergraduate students. A faculty representative is required for each team. The winning team will represent the Chapter at the National Student Quiz Bowl at the ACSM Annual Meeting. The Chapter provides financial support for travel.

Deadline for team registration is Friday, October 11, 2019. More information and the registration form can be found here.

Apply for Student Research Awards

The Central States Chapter provides awards for Outstanding Student Research at the Undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels. Applicants do not have to submit anything other than their abstract to qualify. Read item 7 on the Abstract Submission information sheet to learn more about requirements. The winner will receive a plaque and aid for travel to the conference in the amount of $750.

About Us

The Central States Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine is dedicated to the advancement of the mission of the American College of Sports Medicine through grass roots efforts to involve students and young professionals in the organization. In addition to educational opportunities, the Central States Chapter offers students opportunities for research grants and awards which enhances their development as future professionals. Professionals in the field are able to access professional development opportunities locally and gain access to professional service and networking with colleagues through the chapter's services.
