Join ACSM and Functional Movement Systems (FMS) as Lee Burton, Ph.D., ATC, CSCS, provides insight into how to create a better foundation for individuals seeking to improve and enhance their shoulder and upper body function. He will discuss strategies designed to target often overlooked areas that, when addressed, build a path for improved strength and durability.

Learning Objectives:
• Appreciate fundamental principles that can be utilized for all exercise programming
• Describe a different approach to training the upper body
• Discuss common problems facing most individuals when training the shoulder
• Describe functional exercise progressions and concepts that can be utilized when training the shoulder

Presenter
Dr. Burton has an extensive background in sports medicine and strength and conditioning. He currently consults with a wide variety of professional sports organizations as well as leading health and fitness facilities on injury prevention and performance enhancement. He lectures nationally and internationally on various topics in the fields. Dr. Burton is a certified athletic trainer, certified strength and conditioning specialist and one of the founding owners of Functional Movement Systems. 

Earn one (1) free CEC courtesy of Functional Movement Systems for attending the live webinar. A recorded version will also be available; however, participants will be required to pay a small fee and take a short 15-question test in order to obtain CEC credit. A free version will also be available on ACSM’s YouTube Channel but without CEC credit.
