COVID-19 Update | 2020 ACSM Conferences

Mar 04, 2020

On January 30, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the novel coronavirus a global health emergency. The virus, now known as COVID-19, was first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. As of March 4, 2020, confirmed cases include a relatively small number in the United States, home to ACSM's Annual Meeting and World Congresses and ACSM's International Health and Fitness Summit.

Concern for member/meeting attendee health and safety, airline restrictions and travel warnings are generating inquiries about the status of these two ACSM signature meetings. The statements below provides updates as of March 4. Visit http://www.acsm.org/attend-connect/covid-19 for the latest updates.

ACSM leadership and staff are monitoring developments regarding the COVID-19 and any potential impact it might have on this year’s annual meeting.
