Health and Fitness Summit & Exposition

Overview

Image

ACSM's Health & Fitness Summit and Exposition was created in 1997 as a means to bridge the gap existing between the science of sports medicine and practice for the fitness professional, broadly defined.

The initial conference drew 700+ attendees, a modest exhibit hall, and a loyal following for this relatively new educational offering. Today the meeting has nearly doubled in size, and attracts an impressive group of attendees, faculty, and exhibitors. The meeting now includes additional features like workout sessions with master trainers, hands-on demonstrations, panel discussions, and more. The 2008 Summit will boast superior faculty, hand-chosen to address the most timely, and cutting edge issues

9 Tracks

  • Nutrition
  • Special Populations
  • Exercise Program Design
  • Sports Medicine/Medical
  • Personal Training and Fitness Assessment
  • Business, Management and Professional Development
  • Mind/Body
  • Strategies for Behavioral Change
  • Worksite Health Promotion

Who Should Attend
Attendees at this meeting come from a vast array of fitness and business environments including: health and fitness club settings, wellness and health promotion centers and corporate fitness programs. Clinical professionals based at universities and medical establishments will also benefit from this dynamic programming.

The Schedule
The 2009 Summit will officially open Wednesday evening with a Keynote Lecture, followed by a welcoming reception and the opening of the exhibit hall. After more than two days of educational sessions, challenging workouts, book signings, poster presentations, and more, the 13th Annual ACSM Health Fitness Summit will end on Saturday.
