2020 ACSM American Fitness Index Rankings Available Now!

Jul 14, 2020

The 13th annual ACSM American Fitness Index was released today by the American College of Sports Medicine and the Anthem Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Anthem, Inc. The Fitness Index evaluated America’s 100 largest cities using 33 health behaviors, chronic diseases, and community infrastructure indicators.

ACSM is the global authority for exercise science, sports medicine and the promotion of physical activity and its benefits. We rank the health and fitness of the country’s largest cities because fit cities attract new residents and businesses, raise property values, improve the environment, lower health care costs, enhance quality of life and, ultimately, produce healthier residents and communities.

How does your city compare to Arlington, VA, the 2020 fittest city in America? Find out now with our city comparison tool at www.americanfitnessindex.org/rankings

Follow the American Fitness Index on Facebook and Twitter for the latest news and helpful resources from ACSM and join the discussion by using the hashtag #100fitcities.
