ACSM Seeks Session Proposals for 2022 Annual Meeting

Jul 08, 2021
The ACSM Program Committee seeks proposals for the 2022 ACSM Annual Meeting and World Congress on Exercise is Medicine®, which is scheduled to take place May 31 through June 4, 2022, in San Diego, California. Share your expertise or research, expand your network and professional portfolio, and help ACSM continue to offer diverse and innovative scientific, clinical and educational programs that annual meeting attendees have come to expect.

Session proposal types include:
  • Symposium (120 minutes): In-depth, scientific and state-of-the-art lectures in important areas of research and clinical practice. Symposia include three to four speakers with time allotted for an introduction and overview and overall discussion.
  • Clinical Workshop - Hands-on Demonstration (50 minutes): Hands-on small group demonstrations of current examinations and treatment modalities of sports medicine problems. Space in the meeting room is available on first arrival.
  • Colloquium (50 minutes): Interactive discussions on topics or issues in sports medicine, exercise science or clinical practice.
  • Tutorial Lecture (50 minutes): Critical reviews and analyses of the current state of knowledge in a field in sports medicine, exercise science or clinical practice. The lecture should familiarize attendees with the basics of a subject and progress to current issues, questions, problems, and the frontier of knowledge.
