2020 Meeting has been postponed
As the outbreak of COVID-19 has been developing worldwide, the MWACSM Leadership has been closely tracking its impact within our Midwest community. Over the last several weeks, we have received notices from faculty across the Midwest who have been put on a travel ban from their institution. In addition, scholarship has been slowed and delayed for many faculty and students. Due to the limited number of members able to attend and present at our meeting, we are no longer able to host the high-caliber meeting that our attendees and exhibitors have come to expect.
After carefully weighing the current climate of our members as well as our duties to serve the Chapter, the Midwest ACSM Executive Board and Board of Directors have made the difficult decision to postpone the Annual MWACSM 2020 conference. We are looking forward to spending this time strengthening our Chapter and ramping up for a productive and successful meeting in 2021. We are also looking into alternatives ways to connect to our members over this next year, so please stay tuned to social media outlets and our newsletter for announcements.
We are looking forward to hosting our 2021 meeting at the Hilton-Oak Brook Hills Resort and Conference Center on November 4-6th. We will send updates as the meeting date gets closer.
Thank you for you understanding and patience. We wish our Midwest members and families all the health and happiness. We look forward to seeing you next year.
Sincerely,
Midwest ACSM Executive Board
Jodee Schaben, Executive Director

Derek Kingsley, Current-President
