The Steven M. Horvath Travel Award funds travel expenses for underrepresented minority graduate students traveling to ACSM's Annual Meeting to present their scholarly work.
This award is given in memory of Steven M. Horvath, Ph.D., FACSM, who received the ACSM Citation Award in 1971.
Award requirements include:
Must be an underrepresented minority (as defined by NIH) graduate student in good standing with a research focus related to sports medicine and/or exercise sciences.
Must be presenting a research project at ACSM's Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL.
Winners receive a $500 award to pay for travel expenses to attend and present research at ACSM's 66th Annual Meeting, 10th World Congress on Exercise is Medicine, and World Congress on The Basic Science of Exercise, Circadian Rhythms and Sleep.
Applications for the 2019 Steven M. Horvath Travel Award will be posted by late October, 2018. Please check back soon.
