Can You Outrun a Bad Diet? | Explained

Glenn Gaesser, Ph.D., FACSM | Mar 15, 2021

Glenn Gaesser, Ph.D., presents his insights on health, performance and nutrition in answer to Can You Outrun a Bad Diet?

While both diet and exercise are important for good health, they are not always practiced equally.  Many Americans fall well short of US dietary recommendations, with overall low diet quality. Dr. Gaesser addresses the question of whether exercise can overcome the adverse health effects of poor nutrition, i.e., is it possible to outrun a bad diet?

Glenn Gaesser is a Professor in the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University.
