ACSM Celebrates Member Volunteers During National Volunteer Week

April 22, 2020

In celebration of National Volunteer Week, the American College of Sports Medicine acknowledges the more than 5,000 volunteers who serve countless hours in furthering ACSM’s mission and vision.

"Without question, ACSM member volunteers serve as the lifeblood of our organization," said ACSM CEO Kristin Belleson. “They combine their intelligence, skills and expertise with a deep passion for keeping ACSM at the forefront of the profession. On behalf of the staff and our entire membership, I extend my sincere gratitude."

As the recognized leader in sports medicine and exercise science for more than 65 years, ACSM has always been a member-driven organization. Our member volunteers remain deeply committed to advancing science and promoting health and wellness through physical activity. They willingly give their time and energy in a variety of roles to ensure the ongoing success of ACSM. Those roles include, but are not limited to:

  • Committee Members
  • Editorial Boards
  • Advisory Boards
  • Presenters
  • Mentors
  • Board of Trustees
  • Administrative Council

To all of our incredible member volunteers and leaders, ACSM honors, appreciates and celebrates each one of you during National Volunteer Week and every day of the year!
