Due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19 on clinical internships, the ACSM Certification Board has extended the amended requirements for taking the ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP) exam.
ACSM-CEP candidates may now sit for the exam if they have at least 50% of their clinical internship hours completed when they apply.
Outstanding clinical hours must be submitted within 12 months from the time of passing their exam. This change will be in effect until December 31, 2021, and will be reassessed in 2022.
