ACSM's Brown Bag in Science: Bridging the Gap Between Research and Practice in Underserved PopulationsACSM’s Brown Bag Series in Science webinars give students and young professionals a chance to learn more about the diverse science our members conduct. These informal discussions with our ACSM members provide an opportunity to hear more about what they study, the general research methodology they use and some of the interesting results their research is generating.

In this month’s webinar, you will learn about why it is a public health priority to encourage physical activity promotion in underserved populations. ACSM Fellow Bhibha M. Das, Ph.D., from East Carolina University will discuss long-term programming and policy recommendations to decrease physical activity disparities in underserved populations and improve chronic disease prevention and management while increasing quality of life.
