Leveraging the human-dog bond may be an effective way to help dog-lovers of all ages become more physically active. In this month’s Brown Bag presentation, Katie Potter, Ph.D., will review the unique benefits (and risks) of physical activity in the company of dogs. The ACSM Brown Bag Series in Science webinars give students a chance to engage with member presenters and learn more about their work. Generally, presenters discuss the research questions they are trying to answer, the methods they use and some interesting insights regarding their data and findings. When possible, speakers provide examples of very practical applications that resonate with participants. A Q&A typically follows, giving participants a chance to join the discussion and ask questions. Watch previously recorded webinars.
