ACSM Celebrates National Volunteer Week

Happy National Volunteer Week! In celebration of this special occasion, and on behalf of the ACSM staff, I would like to thank the thousands of ACSM volunteers who serve countless hours furthering our vision and mission.

For nearly 70 years, ACSM has been a member-led and member-driven organization. Our member volunteers remain deeply committed to advancing science and promoting health and human performance. That commitment translates into volunteer actions and leadership that propel us forward and strengthen ACSM’s position as the global authority for sports medicine and exercise science.

Our volunteers willingly give their time and energy to serve on committees, editorial boards, strategic health initiatives and advisory boards, or as mentors and presenters. They truly are the lifeblood of our organization, and we can’t thank them enough.

We encourage our volunteers to review and use the graphics below to help tell your story this week and inspire others to join you as an ACSM volunteer.

If you have not volunteered, please consider doing so by checking out the many opportunities available at ACSM. As President Stacy Fischer shares in her video, volunteerism is an avenue for accomplishing great things for your career, your profession and your membership organization.

We can do amazing things together!

Sincerely,
Kristin Belleson
Chief Executive Officer
