SEACSM members are invited to submit nominations, including self-nominations, for the SEACSM Scholar Award, Service Award, and members to serve on the SEACSM Executive Board.

The Henry J. Montoye Scholar Award was instituted to honor and recognize outstanding contributions to the body of knowledge related to medicine and science in sports and exercise. Scholar Award nominees should have an established record of research and at least five years of involvement with SEACSM.

The Service Award was instituted to honor and recognize outstanding service to SEACSM. Nominees should have at least five years of involvement and leadership experience with SEACSM.

We are also seeking nominations for members to serve on the SEACSM Executive Board. This year we will be selecting a President-Elect, three At-Large Members, and a Student Representative. Call for nominations for the 2024 Emily M. Haymes Mentoring Award

The SEACSM Emily M. Haymes Mentoring Breakfast Committee is excited to announce the call for nominations for the second annual Emily M. Haymes Mentoring Award. This award formally recognizes the exemplary mentorship of an active SEACSM member who has made impactful contributions to their profession and/or SEACSM. Designed to allow mentees and close colleagues to identify SEACSM members who embody both the letter and spirit of mentoring, this award contributes to SEACSM’s continuing efforts to cultivate a rich, supportive environment through faculty-to-student and/or faculty-to-faculty mentoring. One member will be selected to receive this honor and will be officially recognized at the 2024 SEACSM Annual Meeting.

Please see the Mentoring Award Call for Nominations document for more information. The deadline is Friday, December 1, 2023, by 5:00 pm ET. If you have any questions, please contact Katherine Collins, Ph.D., Mentoring Breakfast Committee Chair, at katherine.collins791@duke.edu

Sponsorship & Exhibiting

The Southeast ACSM chapter has a variety of opportunities available for companies, organizations and institutions to market their products, services and programs to sports medicine and exercise science professionals in the southeast and to gain local, regional, and national exposure.

One of the highlights of the conference is the opportunity for one-on-one interactions with exhibitors participating in the meeting. The opportunity to learn more about the products, services and programs that companies, organizations and institutions have to offer sports medicine and exercise science professionals and students is an important part of the meeting.

The sponsors and exhibitors that participate at the annual meeting are from a wide variety of industries and institutions. These vendors offer products, equipment, services and programs that the conference attendees frequently use in their professions.

Please contact us if you or your company or institution would like to participate as a sponsor or exhibitor, or if you know of a company or institution that you would like to see at the meeting.

Contact Michael Berry (berry@wfu.edu) as soon as possible to learn more about these opportunities.

Thank you to the 2023 sponsors and exhibitors

We would like to thank our sponsors and exhibitors for being an important part of our annual meeting.

Please contact Michael Berry (berry@wfu.edu) if you or your company or institution would like to participate as a sponsor or exhibitor, or if you know of a company or institution that you would like to see at the meeting.
