ODPHP Hosts Webinar on How to Use Move your Way® Campaign Materials

The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) will share an overview of the Move Your Way® brand and tips on how to use campaign materials — including posters, fact sheets, social media graphics, videos, and interactive tools — to help people get active. The webinar will also feature how other organizations have successfully customized Move Your Way® community resources to fit their audiences’ needs. Scheduled for 1-2 p.m. EDT Sept. 21. Physical Activity Alliance Publishes Physical Activity Implementation Guide

The Physical Activity Alliance (PAA) has published an implementation guide that standardizes the ability of computer systems or software to exchange information involved in measuring, reporting, and intervening to improve patient physical activity levels. The implementation guide is ready to start being incorporated and used in stakeholder systems. These include, but are not limited to, health care systems, electronic health record systems (HER), physical activity professionals/organizations (including community-based organizations), and physical activity-oriented app developers. These early implementations will provide real-world testing of the implementation guide and feedback for continued improvement and development. 

PCORI Hosts Town Halls on Research Funding Announcements

Throughout September, the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) will host multiple virtual town halls highlighting new funding opportunities open to potential applicants. The meetings will discuss the Research PCORI Funding Announcements (PFAs) opening Wednesday, Sept. 6. Attendees will also hear from PCORI staff about the PFAs and learn about submitting responsive letters of intent (LOI) and applications. LOIs for the PFAs are due by 5 p.m. EDT Oct. 3.
