ACSM From Around Field webinar open to students.
ACSM’s From Around the Field webinar series gives the ACSM community a window into the diverse science our members conduct. Join us for informal discussions with ACSM members to hear more about what they study, the research methodologies they use and some of the interesting results that research is generating. In May, Ashley Smuder, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of Florida, and Branden Nguyen, a fourth-year grad student in Ashley’s lab, will discuss how doxorubicin chemotherapy impacts cardiorespiratory muscle function and how exercise training could protect against these negative effects. Join us May 18, from noon to 1 p.m. EDT, for this interesting discussion. If you can’t attend the live session, register and we will send you the recording. (FREE for ACSM members.)
