How the ACSM and the Coalition for the Registration of Exercise Professionals® (CREP) acted to ensure that legislative language did not infringe upon the ability of exercise professionals practice.

Legislators in the state of Missouri introduced SB 670 that broadens the scope of practice of Athletic Trainers to include “promotes health and wellness, provides injury and illness prevention” and revise the definition of athlete to “any person who engages in, exercise, recreation, sport, or other activity requiring physical strength, agility, flexibility, range of motion, speed, or stamina.”
